This Privacy Policy describes how The Brave Path, operated by Veronika Keilani ("we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application ("the App"). We are committed to collecting only the information necessary to provide and improve the App.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
When you voluntarily create an account or use features of the App, you may provide:
- Account information: email address and password
- Journal entries and practice responses you create within the App
- Assessment answers and self-reflection data
Information collected automatically
When you use the App, we automatically collect:
- Activity data: completed practices, meditations, and lesson progress
- Device information: device type, operating system version, and app version
- Anonymous usage analytics: screen views and feature usage patterns (no personally identifiable information)
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Sync your data across devices when you are signed in
- Send you technical notices, support messages, and password reset emails
- Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
- Understand how the App is used so we can improve the experience
Tracking and Advertising
We do not use the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not serve targeted advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Data Storage and Security
Your journal entries and practice data are stored locally on your device first. If you create an account, your data is synced to our secure servers to enable cross-device access. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) to protect your data in transit and encrypt data at rest on our servers.
Creating an account is optional. The App works fully without an account, with all data stored only on your device.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly within the App by navigating to Profile and selecting "Delete Account." Upon deletion, all of your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Data stored locally on your device is cleared immediately.
Data Retention
We retain your data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you do not create an account, your data exists only on your device and is never sent to our servers. After account deletion, we do not retain any personal data except where required by law.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each of which has committed to protecting your data in accordance with their respective privacy policies:
- RevenueCat — for managing in-app subscriptions
- PostHog — for anonymous, non-identifying usage analytics
- OneSignal — for push notifications (only if you opt in)
- Resend — for transactional email delivery (password resets, account notifications)
- Cloudflare — for content delivery and media storage
These services process data on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information. We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data (via Profile > Delete Account in the App)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Opt out of push notifications at any time via your device settings

Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@bravepath.app.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through the App. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
